Take a Trip to Toyko Japan

Tokyo, Japan's capital is a great destination located in the Kanto Administrative Region of Japan on the eastern section of Honshu. Honshu is the largest of the chain of islands that forms the country. When traveling to Tokyo, one of the must see places to visit is Ginza. The Ginza is a fun place to visit and is full of shopping and food. At night it is a great adventure. At the main streets at night the neon lights are very bright. You will find a lot of shopping and food here but not at bargain prices. Another fun shopping area is Shinjuku. This area is quite large and full of shopping. The area is safe during the day but at night I would recommend more caution.

Asakusa is a historical part of Tokyo. The Sensoji Temple is a great attraction. The Sensoji Temple is an ancient Buddhist temple and is one of Japans most significant temples. The area around the temple has street vendors and crafts.

Shibuya is a newer area full of shopping and entertainment. This is a trendy area that is found on the western side of Tokyo. If you are a fan of computers you will enjoy Akihabara. This area of Tokyo has many computer and electronic stores. You can also find anime stores that are full of hard to find anime items.

Tsukiji has a very large fish market that has over 400 types of fish. Many tons of fish are sold daily here. This fish market starts its business very early in the morning. The tuna auction is fun to watch. Many types of fish sell for several hundred dollars a pound.

The Imperial Palace is found in the middle of Tokyo. The Palace is not available to tour but the gardens around the palace are open parks. You can walk through the gardens and enjoy the sights of the palace.
